On the past Decades India has emerged as a key player in the Global IT Scenario. IT industry in India has constantly shown one of the highest growth rates compared to most other industries. Information Technology Department is the fusion of computer science with Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Development and application of computer systems comes under this foray.

In order to engage today’s learners; the department is focusing on various Teaching Learning pedagogies. The various activity based learning methods like Flipped Classroom; Project based learning will diminish the concept of traditional four wall classroom training. The department is emphasizing on quality training to the faculty members and thus the faculties are well trained on many activity based learning methods which are organized by well known national as well as international organizations. The curriculum is framed by considering the requirements of the industry which will not only inculcate various skills within the learners but impinge related concepts which are necessary in day to day life. The learners will learn latest technology which will develop them industry compatible. The involvement of eminent personalities from various top notch academic institutes and industry while framing the syllabus will be beneficial to the students. The department has formed various committees like Board of Studies, Academic Council, Mentors and the committees has representations from IITs, well known IT companies and Foreign Universities.
